This is the corridor approaching the sniper room just to the south of B and looking out over A.

First of lets look at a place where so many go wrong.

If you are going to go sniping you really need to protect you back with Bettys, but this really is not the way to do it. This betty will get a false trigger through the wall and go off with out hurting any body.

This is a better place to plant a Betty. The enemy has to come round the corner before the Betty will be set off. If they don’t see this Betty it will kill them once. But the next time they will be on the look out for it.

This is the best place to plant a Betty to protect you in that room.

 It will stop any one coming at you from the corridor and any one popping in through the open window.

Note how it’s placed away from the walls to avoid falls trigging and it’s hidden in the rubble to help hide it.

So now you can see that by moving a Betty a few feet it can stop false triggers, cover two entrances and be better hidden. Now that you are thinking the T&C| way lets look at the rest of the map

Attacking spawn North West corner.

This is another poor example of Betty placement.

This Betty will trigger before the enemy has even rounded to corner.

Just by moving the betty a few feet back from the wall can make this spot a sweet killing ground and let you get on with sniping from spawn.

I once got 3 knife kills on a T&C| member before I let him in on this little trick

The other entrance to the spawn has a nice bit of fire burning in such a lovely spot.

A betty placed here will not only protect your sniper team in spawn but after they have moved on it will stop the enemy moving through your spawn. Hidden by the flames they will never see it coming.

Just North West of B

You will often find a bomb planting team or a loan flanker moving through the passageway in the picture. Hide a betty in the long grass will slow them down.

West of B in the open.

The bomb sites on this map it can be quite hard to hide your Bettys.

This spot out in the open should not work but it does. Plant your Betty in the shadow or the large pillar. Here you will find some patches of long grass that conceal the Betty (you can’t see it to well in the small picture, so have a look in game)

Also there is a nice exploding barrel here for that secondary explosion.

The defending team will often in the later stages of the round cut through the middle of the map to get from one bomb site to the other. A Betty placed in the long grass around this area will be well hidden and often be a round winner

There is lots of long grass in this area to place a Betty.

It is best used when a server has a lot of players in it. It’s not the most tactical of places to leave a Betty, but the enemy will never expect one to be there. After a successful explosion you will often get a “who in there right mind puts a Betty there” pop up on the screen. Its best at times like this to have a witty come back ready.

North of A

Bomb site A can be quite hard to get Bettys planted in anything like a hiding spot due to its exposed position and lack of ground cover. I have found its bets to place Bettys in the approaches

Long grass bomb site A

There are a few patch of grass around bomb site A in which you can hide a Betty. But players are getting wise to this so it’s often better to place the Betty else where

Bomb site B

Bettys planted at bomb site B; seem doomed to be shot by the enemy. I have yet to find a successful hiding place. The only good thing I have found about planting a Betty at B is that its better than dieing with the betty still in your pocket.

Every map seems to have one really cunning place to plant your Bettys. And on castle it is under the stairs leading to B. as the enemy walk up the stairs the betty will explode through the steps taking there feet off, as and added bonus you will often get the red barrel to explode.
